Will Revlon colorsilk 04 lighten my hair?

I have medium/dark brown hair, i want to lighten it up to kind of a light/medium brown. I'ts not my natural hair color, it is died. will Revlon Colorsilk 04 do this?Will Revlon colorsilk 04 lighten my hair?
I don;t know what colorsilk is, but if it is hair dye then no, it will not lighten. The number one rule of hair color is that color cannot lift color. Since you have previously dyed your hair the one and only way to get a lighter color is to bleach. Then you will need to tone it with an ash toned dye. That will give you the color that you want, but it has to be an ash (cool tone).Will Revlon colorsilk 04 lighten my hair?
